Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) today voted to pass a resolution on the highly secretive trade agreement, TiSA.

TiSA, the Trade in Services Agreement, is an agreement being negotiated between 50 different countries, calling themselves “The Really Good Friends of Services”, which seeks to liberalise the global services market.

Small businesses in the UK will be at risk of mass bankruptcy if the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Treaty (TTIP) is allowed to go through, according to a new report published today.

The report, Rough Trade: The threat of TTIP to small businesses in the UK, is published by the social justice campaign group War on Want as part of its ongoing fight to end the EU's unfair trade deals.

War on Want welcomes yesterday's European Court of Justice ruling that an EU-Morocco trade agreement must be annulled because it permits implementation of its terms not only in Morocco but also in the occupied territory of Western Sahara.

The 2012 trade agreement covers agricultural, processed agricultural and fisheries produce, and has been widely criticised for laying claim to the natural resources of the Saharawi people living under occupation.
