War on Want is a membership organisation of people committed to social justice.

 

War on Want is governed by an elected Council of Management which is made up of ordinary members. Every member of our Council is passionate about the fight for a better world, and believes that War on Want can make real lasting change with the help and support of our members. 

War on Want staff carry out the day-to-day work of the organisation, delivering War on Want's mission to fight the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice. 

War on Want patrons have dedicated their voice to support War on Want's work.

Commenting on the enormous Stop Trump demonstration co-organised by War on Want as a partner in the Stop Trump Coalition, executive director Asad Rehman, says:

“A world that faces the multiple crisis of inequality, climate change and war requires solutions based on justice and solidarity. The politics of Donald Trump offer nothing but bigotry and hatred, sacrificing the poorest and most vulnerable to the interests of rich elites.
