Miners Shot Down: Remembering Marikana

On 16 August 2012, South African police opened fire with live ammunition on thousands of striking platinum miners at Lonmin’s Marikana mine in the North West Province of South Africa. One hundred and twelve miners were shot and of those 34 died. Join War on Want, film maker Rehad Desai and James Nichol, lawyer for the miners' families in commemorating the 3rd anniversary of the Marikana Mining Massacre on 14 August 2015.  Book your tickets here
