Ways to fundraise

Getting your friends and family to sponsor you is a great way to raise money for War on Want. Run, walk, cycle, swap, bake, party... there are lots of ways to raise money for War on Want. Whatever your fundraising challenge people are always willing to sponsor you to do something inspirational.

Rhian went without shoes for the month of November brrrrr, and had lots of fun raising cash to fight global poverty.

For helpful ideas, practical advice, materials and more, please get in touch with us about your fundraising. We're happy to help! Give us a call on 020 7324 5040 or email us.

You can also add a touch of global justice to your celebrations – whether you're celebrating an anniversary, birthday, retirement or wedding – you can ask your friends and family to donate to War on Want in lieu of gifts to you.

In a few simple steps you can create and personalise your own fundraising page and invite friends and family to make a donation. You can use an online fundraising page such as Virgin Money Giving or JustGiving. These sites do the hard work for you, sending the donations to War on Want and automatically claiming Gift Aid on donations - that's an extra 25% at no extra cost to you or your supporters!

You can create a page in less than a minute. Make it yours with a story, photos, and video and then share your page with friends. Then watch as the donations start rolling in!

Alternatively you can download a form to hand to your friends.
