Thousands set for Palestine rally demanding end to Israeli occupation

The London protest has been organised by the ENOUGH! coalition of over 50 organisations, charities, trade unions, faith and campaigns groups.

Demonstrators will assemble at 1.30 pm in Lincoln's Inn Fields and march to a rally in Trafalgar Square.

They will be joined by representatives of the Palestinian people, members of the British and European parliament, trade unionists, representatives of different faiths, the Israeli peace movement and charities.

The speakers will include:

 

  • Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Minister of Information in the Palestinian unity government
  • Bishop Riah Abu El Assal, former Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East
  • Professor Manuel Hassassian, Palestinian general delegate to the UK
  • Nathaniel Silverman, Israeli refusenik ex-soldier from the group Combatants for Peace
