A consequence of a failing economic system

Over the past 5 years, the UK government has approved over £500million worth of arms exports to Israel. Those exports didn’t halt even as Israel was being investigated for war crimes stemming from unlawful use of force, and even as the UK government itself was issuing statements of concern about Israel’s violations of international law.

As the ongoing indigenous mobilisations in South-West Colombia enter day 18, over 500 politicians, academics, national and international human rights organisations have written an urgent letter to President Ivan Duque Marquez of Colombia in support of the 'National Minga in Defence of Life, Territory, Democracy, Justice and Peace'.

Trade unions, social movements, NGOs- from the UK, Switzerland, Canada, France, Turkey, South Africa, Spain, Nepal, and Germany have written an open letter to President Ivan Duque of Colombia in solidarity with the thousands of people from indigenous, afro-descendant and peasant communities currently entering their 11^th day of strikes and mobilisation in the Southwest of the country, the 'Social Minga in Defence of Life, Territory, Democracy, Justice and Peace.'
