22 September 2016 - 10:45am

The government’s latest act is an attack on democracy and explicit clamp down on the growing strength of the grassroots Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement which aims to end government and corporate complicity in Israel’s violations of Palestinian rights.

Sunday Times article

11 September 2016 - 9:00am

In response to the article in today's Sunday Times (11 September 2016), John Hilary, War on Want's Executive Director, said:

“The Charity Commission has confirmed, exactly as I said on the BBC earlier this year, that it is not taking forward any external complaint against War on Want.

"My decision to leave the organisation was taken many months ago, in view of the fact that I have been at War on Want for 12 successful years. Any implication there is another reason is pure fantasy.”

Time for governments to declare the end of TTIP and CETA

30 August 2016 - 1:00pm

Responding to news that France has demanded an end to TTIP talks, War on Want's Mark Dearn said: "It’s about time an EU government stepped up to the plate and listened to the people of Europe. Yet, opposing TTIP rings a little hollow when the same EU governments are still trying to force through the ‘Canadian TTIP’, CETA."
