Terry’s dash for cash a success
10 August 2010
On 15 July, Terry Cook, 54, completed a landmark rush around the London Underground raising money for War on Want. Terry secured over £1,600 for the 42-station run, believed to be the first charity “Underround” dash.

The 26-mile trek run included the 177 steps down and back up to ground level at Russell Square on the Piccadilly line. His challenge, starting and ending at King's Cross, demanded that he touch yellow platform lines at each station without the use of lifts. Terry was grateful for the support of those sponsors who helped him surpass his £1,500 fundraising target.
War on Want thanks Terry for all his hard work training and congratulates him on completing his gruelling run. If you feel inspired by Terry’s courageous effort and you fancy setting yourself a challenge to raise money for War on Want check out our sponsorship page.
