New report from Stop the Wall documents crackdown on Palestinian activists

STW_-_People_versus_OppressionOne year ago, War on Want partner Stop the Wall and Addameer released Repression Allowed, Resistance Denied, a report detailing the repression of Palestinian human rights defenders campaigning against the Separation Wall. To mark the sixth anniversary of the International Court of Justice advisory opinion declaring the Wall to be illegal, Stop the Wall has released a new report on the crackdown of Palestinian activists in the period between March and June 2010.

The report, entitled People versus Oppression, documents the repressive measures being used by Israeli forces to stifle Palestinian dissent, including the arrest of activist leaders, raids on the offices of civil society groups, travel bans and targeted killings. The report also examines the Israeli assault on the Freedom Flotilla, which resulted in nine deaths and dozens of injuries.

Download the full report as a pdf, and learn more about the repression of Palestinian activists at the Stop the Wall website.
