March for the Alternative

War on Want members and supporters joined the 500,000 other demonstrators on the March for the Alternative called by the TUC on 26 March 2011.
The British government's austerity programme will hit the poor hardest, and represents an ideological assault on jobs, public services and the welfare state.
Together with allies in the labour movement and beyond, War on Want is backing a rolling programme of action to halt the cuts programme in its tracks and to build a future based on dignity and rights for all.
