Thank you to all the lovely people of Hackney who signed up to stop sweatshop exploitation while attending Shoreditch Festival last Saturday
War on Want is running a rolling petition calling for the exploitation of overseas workers by UK companies. We have already handed in over 16,000 signatures and with your support we will continue the fight against this injustice. Our aim is to have 50,000 people join our call for immediate government action. We need to ensure that there is legislation in place that forces profit-hungry companies to pay a living wage to the people who make our clothes.

You can order the Love Fashion Hate Sweatshop petition in hard copy to help us collect signatures. All the reports, briefings and action cards you saw on our stall can be ordered for free. Also, as much as we would love to, we can't take our campaigns to every summer festival. So if you will have a stall at a local event and want to help us with our campaign by taking some materials, please let us know!
