As part of its drive to end evictions in poor South African settlements, today War on Want campaigners presented a letter signed by over a thousand supporters to the South African High Commission in London.

Stratford High says no to sweatshop exploitation

Last Friday, a group of school students from Stratford High in Stratford-upon-Avon participated in War on Want's Love Fashion Hate Sweatshops activity by having a group picture taken at school. War on Want has already handed in hundreds of pictures of supporters to Downing Street, and at this rate there will be many more on the way! So a big thanks is due to all of Paul Berthold's year 9s who participated in the fight against sweatshop exploitation.

Images from Kenyan slum net young photographer top prize
The new photography award from War on Want, Document, recognised five up and coming young photographers, including the competition winner, Gareth Kingdon, at a packed reception last night. The award, which tasked photography students with capturing images of poverty across the globe, received numerous submissions from over eight countries.
War on Want joins inspiring Palestine and South Africa speaker tour

War on Want joined an international panel of renowned speakers for a UK-wide speaker tour on the case for justice for Palestine and the need for a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel until it complies with international law and stops violating the human rights of Palestinians.
