Event: Aiding Occupation, Arming Insecurity
Join War on Want on Thursday 25 November for the exclusive launch of a must-read book exposing the EU’s complicity in Israeli crimes
The European Union presents itself as an honest broker in the Middle East. In reality, the EU has been engaged in a long process of accommodating Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories. Renowned journalist David Cronin argues that Israel has become a member state of the Union in all but name and that rather than using this relationship to encourage Israeli restraint, the EU has legitimised actions such as the ill-treatment of prisoners and the Gaza invasion.
David Cronin will discuss his new book in a conversation with War on Want’s Executive Director John Hilary.
The discussion will be followed by a Q&A and the launch of War on Want's new report on Palestine.
