On 30 November, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will meet behind closed doors in Geneva. It will be 10 years to the day since activists shut down WTO talks in Seattle and the ‘anti-globalisation' movement burst onto the scene.
To mark the anniversary we will be showing the short film ‘Big Rattle in Seattle', including real footage and interviews from the Seattle protests, and discussing what comes next for a movement that has truly 'gone global'.
Resistance has continued, but so has the exploitation we are fighting. War on Want partner Sanjiv Pandita will tell us about the problems facing workers in global supply chains and the real price being paid for cheap clothes.
The film will start promptly at 7pm and there will be time for questions and discussion at the end. FREE ENTRY - please don't be late!
