Proposing resolutions and constitutional amendments

Ordinary Resolutions

Any individual, household or affiliate member of War on Want may propose an ordinary resolution or constitutional amendment to the Articles of Association for consideration by the Annual General Meeting. A copy of War on Want’s current Articles of Association can be found here.

Link to Articles The resolution or amendment should be proposed in writing on the relevant form and returned to David Rudkin, War on Want, 44-48 Shepherdess Walk, London N1 7JP.

The deadline for receipt of resolutions and amendments is 1pm on Thursday 26 January 2012. Any proposed resolutions or amendments received after this deadline will be declared invalid.

All valid resolutions and constitutional amendments will be notified to members in advance of the AGM so that they have an opportunity to consider them.

Emergency Resolutions

In an emergency, resolutions may be submitted for consideration by the AGM after the deadline for receipt of ordinary resolutions, that is 1pm on Thursday 22 March 2012.

For a resolution to be considered on this basis it must:

  • Relate solely to matters that have taken place since 1pm on Thursday 26 January 2012
  • Be seconded and submitted in writing on the relevant form to David Rudkin, War on Want, 44-48 Shepherdess Walk, London N1 7JP no less than 48 hours before the AGM is due to take place
