Financial Fools Day – G20 protest at the Bank of England

On 1 April 2009, War on Want joined thousands of demonstrators in the city of London on the eve of the G20 summit. From four corners of the city protestors converged on the Bank of England.
War on Want protestors carried a huge dead canary and signs saying ‘Canary Wharf RIP' to the Bank of England to condemn the government's attempts to revive the failed policies of the free market system.
