War on Want joined an international panel of renowned speakers for a UK-wide speaker tour on the case for justice for Palestine and the need for a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel until it complies with international law and stops violating the human rights of Palestinians.
Crowds of over 250 people in London, 130 in Manchester and 140 in Leeds heard inspiring testimony from leading Palestinian and South African activists - and listened to discussions about the lessons of the anti-Apartheid movement in South Africa.
Omar Barghouti, Palestinian Boycott National Committee
Yasmin Khan, War on Want
Gavin Reed, BRICUP (panel chair)

The tour came at the end of a year which has seen massive victories for the BDS movement including: the UK government taking action on illegal settlement produce sold in the UK; British Trade Union Congress, which represents 6.5 million workers, voting to support BDS; the Church of England divesting £2.2 million from the company Caterpillar, which is involved in demolishing Palestinian homes; and the Norwegian government divesting its pension fund from Elbit systems, which is involved in building the illegal Separation Wall.
