1000km Bike Ride - London to south of France

Hello everyone, and thanks for coming to sponsor me!

As you already know I've decided that this summer, being the summer I finally leave institutional education, would be the best time of my life to experience some saddle-sore...so I've taken it upon myself to jump on my bike and cycle to the south of France!

The planned departure date is in mid-June - I'll trundle along from Mile End to Portsmouth with Hannah, where I'll set off alone and take the pedalo/ferry (I haven't decided yet) over to Cherbourg and then meander my way (joined at some point by my foolhardy French future colleague, Florian) in record-breaking time (fortunately, the record has yet to be set) down to the beautiful village of Najac, where a soft bed and a steaming bowl of cassoulet awaits...

But this bike ride isn't just for the sake of saddle-sore. With your help I'll raise hundreds of pounds for War on Want to help in the fight against poverty, injustice and inequality around the globe, so dig deep and dish out!
