An inspiring day in the fight against supermarket power
A big thanks to everyone who came along to our Fight Supermarket Power conference.
The event brought together over 250 people united in their struggle against supermarkets' attack on workers' rights and communities around the world.
We heard from the Landless Workers' Movement in Brazil, Stop the Wall in Palestine and other global partners as well as from UK-based campaigns and organisations including Tescopoly, Brixton Pound and Unite the Union. The workshops and plenaries triggered lively questions and debate, with people interacting from across the UK representing trade unions, organisations, academia and local campaign groups.
Throughout the day new alliances were formed between people working miles apart. Practical action was agreed and planned in workshops. The key now is take this momentum and drive forward our campaign for a just society here and overseas.....
