Dear Ron Prosor,
I am writing to express my grave concern about the detention without charge of Palestinian human rights activist Mohammad Othman. On 22 September Mohammad was returning from Norway when he was arrested by Israel authorities at the border terminal between Jordan and the occupied Palestinian territory.
Mohammad has not been charged with any crime, which leads us to believe that he is being held because of his human rights work.
The intimidation and detention of human rights defenders is unacceptable. I demand the immediate and unconditional release of Mohammad Othman and that his rights as a detainee are fully respected for as long as he remains in custody.
