War on Want's 2012 AGM
Will the legacy of the London Olympics be exploited garment workers and the marginalisation of local communities? Join War on Want activists and East London community groups on Saturday 24 March 2012 for a day of discussion and workshops on how we can stop the Olympic dream becoming a nightmare.
Speakers from TUC, National Garment Workers Federation (Bangladesh) and others...
Workshops on:
- Building solidarity and better links with Bangladeshi garment workers
- Taking the fight to the sportswear companies
- The impact of global sporting events on local communities

War on Want's Annual General Meeting is to be held just before the above conference, and we invite all members and non-members to attend. The AGM will take place from 10am at Toynbee Hall, 28 Commercial Street, London E1 6LS (nearest tube: Aldgate East).
