Update on Tsunami appeal
Huge progress to report on the rebuilding of homes in post-tsunami Sri Lanka - and a massive thank you to those who contributed.
Our partners have reported that a project coordinator has been employed and the designs for the homes are finished – after full consultation with those who will live there.
In total the project will build 100 houses for garment worker and their families whose homes were destroyed as a result of the Tsunami.
War on Want has so far raised sufficient funds to contribute to the costs of building around 40 houses.
