Thousands set for Palestine rally demanding end to Israeli occupation
Thousands of campaigners in Britain will demonstrate on Saturday (9 June) for an end to Israel’s occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, amid global events to mark the 40th anniversary of the Six Day War. It will be the first opportunity for the British public to hear a Palestinian minister in person.
The London protest has been organised by the ENOUGH! coalition of over 50 organisations, charities, trade unions, faith and campaigns groups.
Demonstrators will assemble at 1.30 pm in Lincoln’s Inn Fields and march to a rally in Trafalgar Square.
They will be joined by representatives of the Palestinian people, members of the British and European parliament, trade unionists, representatives of different faiths, the Israeli peace movement and charities.
