Show the Love to Colombian
flower workers

Remember:
  • Your flowers cost more than an entire day's wages of a Colombian flower worker.
  • Most flower workers are women, and many become sick through exposure to highly dangerous pesticides and chemicals.
  • Few employers recognise trade unions and often workers are sacked for union activity.

War on Want works with Cactus in Colombia helping flower workers to improve their working conditions. Please help by writing to Asocolflores, the association of major flower exporting companies, to demand justice for Colombian flower workers.

    To:

    Augusto Solano,
    Executive President of ASCOLFLORES

We ask that you hire workers without sub-contracting, thus assuming direct responsibility for their wages and social security conditions. We also ask that you respect and guarantee the right to organise independent trade unions that truly represent the interests of the flower workers.

    Augusto Solano,

I want to show my support to the women flower workers of Colombia.
