Dear Ambassador

I am alarmed by the detention of Sahrawi civil rights activists and demonstrators by Moroccan forces. I understand some are held without charge while others have been harshly sentenced to years of imprisonment. I am aware that the Polisario Front has recently released all the remaining Moroccan prisoner of war and urge your government immediately to free all Saharawi political prisoners, and disclose the whereabouts of the 500 Sahrawi ‘disappeared’ since 1975.
