The Bush administration is putting immense pressure on the Iraqi government to privatise Iraq’s oil before it leaves office. Join the Hands Off Iraqi Oil coalition procession through London on Saturday 11 October to launch 100 days of action to stop Bush and Cheney.

On 23 October War on Want will open a photography exhibition by award-winning photographer Julio Etchart at the East London Gallery Rich Mix. Etchart’s inspiring portraits reveal the faces of indigenous child labour in Guatemala, and highlight the work of War on Want partner Conrado de La Cruz in improving their lives.

| Lobby of parliament to demand justice for Palestinians |
| 19 November To mark the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, War on Want will join concerned citizens and other human rights NGOs in a mass lobby of Parliament in support of the Palestinian people. Our lobbying efforts will focus on a number of critical issues, including: the Occupation of Palestine; the blockade of Gaza; the development of Israeli settlements; and EU-Israel trade agreements.
