ADF join only war worth fighting

Following on from two hugely successful sets at Glasto, urban music’s social conscience, the Asian Dub Foundation, blew the roof off the Royal Festival Hall as part of July’s Meltdown music festival.

Sporting WoW t-shirts, and still firing on all cylinders after such a huge weekend, ADF proved once more that passionate, politically charged music is as relevant as ever. Backing WoW’s Screw Poverty campaign, they threw handfuls of condoms into the crowd during the performance of their new single, ‘Rise To The Challenge’.

Musically diverse, and always controversial, they have carved a political niche for themselves, emphasisng the importance of community activism and cross-cultural diversity.

Lashing out at US foreign policy, and declaring their support for refugees in Europe – a top track called ‘Breakdown Fortress Europe’- ADF consistently prove that political messages and top dance music are by no means mutually exclusive.
